Connecting Missionaries and Churches: Building Bridges from San Diego to Tijuana

Over the weekend of July 13-14, the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego proudly facilitated a crucial connection between the Pacific Southwest District (PSD) and Christ Lutheran Church from Gilbert, Arizona, with missionaries in Tijuana and South San Diego. Hosted at Iglesia Luterana Cristo Redentor in East Tijuana—a church brimming with vibrant ministry and ample mission opportunities—we convened to discuss the impactful ministries of Pastor Job Jimenez and fellow missionaries Gustavo Valderrama and Gustavo Ruben Valderrama. These dedicated individuals are pursuing theological studies and preparing to establish ministries in South San Diego.

The meeting, attended by PSD's Pastor Dominic Rivkin and Christ Lutheran Church's Pastor Tim Ahlman, underscored the missionaries' unwavering commitment and potential to spearhead church planting and school initiatives across the region. We are immensely grateful for their visit and incredibly proud of our missionaries' steadfast dedication.
