Shaping Future Leaders: Reflections on the Youth Retreat in Tijuana

Investing in the spiritual growth of our youth is essential for both the present and the future of the Church. This Saturday, missionaries and partners of the Lutheran Mission Society San Diego, including Rev. Job Jimenez, Vicar Gustavo Valderrama, Vicar Gustavo Ruben, Elisabeth Martinez and Rev. Ramon Contreras, alongside our Missionary Director, dedicated their time and energy to a youth retreat at Lutheran churches in Tijuana.

The theme of the retreat focused on calling and vocation, helping the youth explore how God is guiding their lives and preparing them for His mission. The day was filled with blessings as we engaged with the youth, shared the love of Christ, and fostered meaningful connections. A highlight was the final panel, where church leaders shared their personal stories about how God called them into their ministries.

It was a powerful experience to witness God at work in the lives of these young people, empowering them to grow in their faith and become leaders today and in the years to come. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve and excited to see how these young believers will continue to shine God's light in their communities!
