Celebrating Co-Mentoring in Action!

We’re filled with pure joy as Pastor Dave Weber from Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Oromo Church Planter Dawa Jarso come together to plan Dawa’s installation as vicar in San Diego. The Lutheran Mission Society is honored to co-mentor Dawa alongside Dave, supporting his journey in ministry.

Mentoring is a vital part of our mission to nurture and equip the next generation of leaders within our communities. Through this collaborative process, experienced pastors like Dave provide invaluable guidance, wisdom, and support to emerging leaders like Dawa. This relationship fosters personal growth, strengthens faith, and enhances the overall effectiveness of ministry efforts.

In today’s ever-changing landscape, having a mentor can make all the difference for new church leaders. It helps them navigate challenges, develop their unique gifts, and build confidence in their calling. By sharing experiences and insights, mentors not only invest in the personal and spiritual development of their mentees but also contribute to the health and vitality of the church as a whole.

As we celebrate this important milestone in Dawa's journey, we are reminded of the power of relationships in ministry. Together, we are committed to building a supportive community that reflects the love of Christ and reaches out to those in need.
